One of the bands in my summer playlist is Alpine. It's light and dreamy and perfect for summer evenings. And they have a clip with a lot of girls in it... Enjoy!

a non recipe - nectarine crumble

Do you remember the nectarines I mentioned more than a week ago? Yep, I still had them sitting around... I stuck them in the fridge so they would survive a bit longer, but still I had to use them.
So I made a nectarine crumble! This is a non recipe really, because I did it all by feel. No weighing ingredients, setting clocks or precise temperature. Just dumping butter, flour, sugar and a bit of cinnamon in a bowl to make the crumble and put that on top of a sliced nectarine. Pop it in the oven and see when it's done. Hmmmm, smells soo good and tastes like heaven. We had them as lunch dessert, hey, it's sunday!

An other episode in the video diary, swimming with my friends in the river, just outside of Amsterdam. It was a warm warm night and the water was so nice.

A little video from our day at the beach. The boy performed with The Benelux, first an acoustic set at Woodstock and later at night again at Scheveningen, though I left my camera in the car for that.
I had just hurt my toe that morning, so I couldn't swim. Luckily the weather wasn't as hot hot hot as it is now!
I love making these little videos lately, so expect some more!

This week I'll be home alone again. It is a much needed time to focus on myself, so in today's focus; pictures of me, on the beach last weekend.
Some times you can feel like life has taken off without you and is heading in a direction, you're not completely sure off. At least, that happens with me. So it is time to touch base again, find out what my goals are and how to get there.

I've all kinds of recipes in my head for these nectarines. However, I'm very bad (or good...) in ignoring them too long until they aren't so tasty anymore... Yikes. I hope to find time tomorrow!

During difficult times in your life it is important to focus on the things that make you happy. So here it is, a somewhat daily photo update on things that make me happy. It'll be mostly focusing on plants I predict.

Today: beautiful delicate bean flowers and tiny little beans on my balcony.

Home grown radish, a pizza shaped like Africa or a skull (accidentally!), bread fresh from the oven, a happy breakfast and my plant nursery.

It's been a rough few weeks with not enough sleep, too much work and no rest for my thoughts. I think it culminated in fainting in a shop yesterday (luckily my boy was there with me and nothing bad happened). Now I have a short vacation in which I plan to finish two big photography/film projects, but I must listen a bit more to my body. 

I miss nature around me, which I've experienced in abundance on Terschelling and I feel stuck in the city. So a short camping trip of one night is also planned next week. And I hope the bike ride every morning to my temporary studio will do me good.

I have felt a bit lost, but I'm getting back on track again.

When I was at Oerol I did not only make pictures of nature and films of cows, I also filmed my boys theatre performance and made this trailer! It's going to be use in their promotion for the Over het IJ Festival, which starts tomorrow! I'm still new in the department of filming with an DSLR, but I'm getting better, same as with editing. But still, I'm spending my nights reading and watching the internet for tips and tricks and will meet up with some pro's for beers and tips soon!
